We are seeking to appoint a full-time teacher at this popular and successful all age special school for pupils with moderate learning difficulties and ASD. Working in Key Stage 3 you will be required to deliver national curriculum subjects adapted to the primary model, to suit the needs of our learners. There will also be opportunities to teach in primary key stages.

We are a successful Teaching School where staff are fully involved in the school’s development and have access to regular training and peer support. Teachers receive group planning time to support the delivery of our exciting challenge-based teaching and learning. There is also great scope to take your skills out into the local educational community through outreach work, building home grown success for all.

We are seeking to appoint Teaching Assistants to this outstanding all age (4-18 years) special school for pupils with moderate learning difficulties and ASD, which was designated as a Teaching School in September 2015. All the pupils at Hazel Oak have either a Statement of Special Educational Needs or an Education, Health and Care Plan. Please indicate on your application which post you are interested in.

Post 1 – to provide 1:1 support for a Key Stage 1 pupil Post 2 – to provide 1:1 support for a Key Stage 2 pupil

The successful applicant would join a dedicated and friendly team who are driven to achieve the best for all pupils. We can offer you exceptional opportunities for professional development through our Teaching School, HOSTA.

Whilst the vacancies are in our lower school, primary department, applicants should be aware that there is an expectation that you will be prepared to work across all Key Stages (1 to 5), so you may be assigned to a different class group in the future.
