Current Occupation

Advanced Teaching Assistant

I have had the pleasure of working at Hazel Oak School for over five years. I am passionate about and dedicated to the range of roles that I have undertaken during my time at our school. At present I am working in key stage two but have over the years worked in all key stages. I live in Shirley and have four children, a stepdaughter, a grandson and a dog (Cooper) all of whom keep me very active and busy. I thoroughly enjoy spending time with my family and friends, shopping, running, gardening, reading and being creative.
I am highly committed to ensuring that our pupils receive the best possible education, through a range of stimulating and exciting experiences. This I believe will equip them well for their adult lives ahead. High expectations are at the heart of everything that I do.

Reason for becoming a School Governor

I became a governor for a number of reasons. I wanted to help manage the school with a view to providing the best possible education and educational opportunities for all of our pupils. Having the pupils’ best interests at heart means that I also have the school’s best interests at heart, which makes me committed to the school’s continuous improvement for the benefit of our pupils.
