Title: I don't want to go to bed

Author: Tony Ross

This story is about the little princess who wouldn't go to bed, she was very  grumpy!

She has lots of excuses and tricks for her parents. If you are scared of spiders, so is she!

There are five characters in this story, who are funny.

The pictures are big, bright and colourful, there is not a lot of writing to read, the text big and neat.

We recommend this fun story for lower school, because it has great pictures and clear writing.

It's a funny story about a naughty princess.

Title: Bert the Ugly Bug

Author: Mal Peet

This book was about a bug who didn't like himself, because he was dull and not special. Other bugs and reptiles didn't think he was special either, but one day something very special happened to Bert.

This is a fictional story with shiny, colourful pictures and with big, clear text.

This story made us think about being lonely sometimes and the way we look to others, but how important it is to feel happy about ourselves. This book had a happy ending.

We recommend this book for lower school and some upper school pupils.
