Community Respect Wellbeing Growth Creativity
Are you passionate about supporting pupils who have Special Educational Needs?
Are you looking for a new educational challenge?
Do you thrive on being creative to bring the curriculum to life with real experiences?
Would you like to work where growth and opportunity are part of the everyday for everyone?
Would you like to be part of an enterprising team?
We are seeking to appoint two full-time teachers at this popular and successful, all-age special school. You will be required to deliver across the curriculum and adapt your teaching to suit the needs of our learners. Hazel Oak is a diverse community of learners, with pupils who have a wide range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, Downs Syndrome, social, emotional and mental health. There are two positions as class teacher available. We are looking for individuals who are creative and adaptable to teach across a range of key stages throughout their time with us.
The successful applicants will be expected to develop their pedagogy through collaborative team working to create inspiring schemes to offer bespoke experiences for all learners. The candidates will have the opportunity to apply primary teaching models across key stages 2 and 3 and use the same collaborative approach if required for accreditation teaching and learning in key stages 4 and 5.
Primary experience will support our approach to curriculum design, however we are also keen to meet candidates with confidence and experience in delivering accredited courses. Successful applicants skills and experience will be taken into account to optimise placement within the staff team.
We are an outstanding School, where staff are fully involved in the school’s development and have access to regular training and peer support. Teachers receive group planning time to support the delivery of our exciting, life skills driven curriculum. There is also great scope to take your skills out into the local educational community through outreach work, building home-grown success for colleagues in other settings.
Our vision: Having fun, discovering our place in the world, building relationships and overcoming challenges. Learning about life beyond the classroom to shape a successful future.
