Another great success story for Hazel Oak year 11 students as Work Experience feedback from employers shines a positive light on the wonderful young people we have helped prepare for life after Hazel Oak.  Comments were in abundence regarding their Willingness to try, Using their initiative and a 'Can do' attitude.  Praise was also given when employers compared our students to some main stream students they have worked with regarding enthusiasm,  attitude, respect and that they did not see our students on their mobile phones throughout their placement.  This kind of feedback from the wider community reflects on the hard work and efforts put in by Students, Parents and staff; underpinned by the commitment of placement providers to give our students the opportunity to  work along side some industry experts.  This year thanks go to:

Fortem Ltd, Sainsbury's, Dickens Heath Library, Zenith, Newlands Bishop Farm (Family Care Trust), Hazel Oak School Facilities Management Team, Jones's Barber Shop, Wedges Bakery, Hogarths Hotel and Solihull College Animal Care Department.

Well done to those students who have secured a volunteering opportunity over the summer or made a good enough impression that you have been asked to consider apprenticeships with them. Please make sure you update your C.V!

I cannot wait to see what our new Year 11 students will do next year...
